IPL 2025 Ranking and Rating Each Team Basis Their Best Spinners

#10: Royal Challengers Bengaluru – 8.058

Two Best Spinners for RCB

  1. Krunal Pandya
  2. Suyash Sharma

Backup Spinners

  1. Liam Livingstone
  2. Jacob Bethell
  3. Swapnil Singh
  4. Manoj Bhandage
  5. Mohit Rathee

At number 10, we have the RCB team with their spinners rating at 8.058. RCB did everything right in the Auction, except for investing in quality spinners. The team has a decent bunch of spinners like Krunal Pandya, Suyash Sharma, Swapnil Singh, etc., but none of these spinners stand standout from the competition. Even their backups like Liam Livingstone, Jacob Bethell, etc., are most of part-timers and all-rounder spinners.

#9: Lucknow Super Giants – 8.192

Two Best Spinners for LSG

  1. Ravi Bishnoi
  2. Shahbaz Ahmed

Backup Spinners:

  1. M. Siddharth
  2. Abdul Samad
  3. Digvesh Singh
  4. Yuvraj Choudhary

For number 9, we have the LSG team with their spinners rating at 8.192. LSG have Ravi Bishnoi and Shahbaz as their best spinners. As you can see from the list, Ravi Bishnoi is the only specialist good spinner in the squad, and the rest like Shahbaz Ahmed, M Siddharth, Abdul Samad, etc., are either all-rounders, or emerging spinners. So, overall, LSG are weak in the spin department.

#8: Mumbai Indians – 8.212

Two Best Spinners for MI

  1. Allah Ghazanfar
  2. Mitchell Santner

Backup Spinners

  1. Will Jacks
  2. Karn Sharma
  3. Naman Dhir
  4. Vignesh Puthur

Number 8 sees the MI team with their spinners rating at 8.212. Mumbai Indians, who generally refrain from selecting quality spinners, added two solid options this time in the form of Allah Ghazanfar and Mitchell Santner. While two first-choice spinners are good, the backups aren’t so good, and hence MI lose some points for their backups. But if the two spinners play all the important matches, they may not need backups at all.

#7: Delhi Capitals – 8.250

Two Best Spinners for DC

  1. Kuldeep Yadav
  2. Axar Patel

Backup Spinners

  1. Sameer Rizvi
  2. Ashutosh Sharma
  3. Ajay Mandal

  5. Tripurana Vijay

At number 7, we have the DC team with their spinners rating at 8.250. Delhi Capitals have two solid spinners in the form of Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel. Both will all the matches, and that’s a great sign for DC. However, the backups are inspiring for DC, and the likes of Sameer Rizvi, Ashutosh Sharma, and Ajay Mandal are decent options, who can bowl 1-2 overs at the maximum.

#6: Punjab Kings – 8.346

Two Best Spinners for PBKS

  1. Yuzvendra Chahal
  2. Harpreet Brar

Backup Spinners

  1. Glenn Maxwell

  4. Pravin Dubey

At number 6, we have the PBKS team with their spinners rating at 8.346. Punjab Kings have Yuzvendra Chahal as the leader of their spin bowling, and he is a legend in the IPL. While Yuzi leads the pack, the other ones like Glenn Maxwell, Harpreet Brar, Nehal Wadhera, etc., are decent options to have. Overall, Punjab Kings may do well in neutral pitches, but on spin-friendly pitches, they might struggle.

#5: Sunrisers Hyderabad – 8.558

Two Best Spinners for SRH

  1. Adam Zampa
  2. Rahul Chahar

Backup Spinners

  1. Kamindu Mendis
  2. Abhishek Sharma
  3. Zeeshan Ansari
  4. Travis Head

For number 5, we have the SRH team with their spinners rating at 8.558. SRH have Adam Zampa and Rahul Chahar as their two best spinners. It will be a great combination to play if they are able to play both of them together. This is a possibility on spin-friendly pitches. Aside from these two, SRH have Kamindu Mendis, Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, etc. among backup options.

#4: Rajasthan Royals – 8.559

Two Best Spinners for RR

  1. Wanindu Hasaranga
  2. Maheesh Theekshana

Backup Spinners

  1. Kumar Kartikeya
  2. Riyan Parag
  3. Nitish Rana

Moving to number 4, we have the RR team with their spinners rating at 8.559. RR invested in two Overseas spinners, Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana. With Kumar Sangakkara at the helm, it seems Sri Lanka was his got-to country for spinners. Fortunately, both are solid options as spinners, and will most likely play on all spin-friendly pitches. However, the backups are decent in the form of Kumar Kartikeya, Riyan Parag, and Nitish Rana.

#3: Chennai Super Kings – 8.846

Two Best Spinners for CSK

  1. Noor Ahmad
  2. Ravindra Jadeja

Backup Spinners

  1. Ravichandran Ashwin
  2. Rachin Ravindra
  3. Shreyas Gopal
  4. Deepak Hooda

For number 3, we have the CSK team with their spinners rating at 8.846. CSK have an all-round spin attack, and three of their top 5 best spinners, Noor Ahmad, Ravindra Jadeja, and Ravichandran Ashwin will mostly feature in the starting 11. While the first-choice spinners are good, the backups are also good in the form of Rachin Ravindra and Shreyas Gopal.

#2: Gujarat Titans – 8.904

Two Best Spinners for GT

  1. Rashid Khan
  2. Washington Sundar

Backup Spinners

  1. R Sai Kishore
  2. Rahul Tewatia
  3. Mahipal Lomror
  4. Glenn Phillips
  5. Jayant Yadav
  6. Manav Suthar
  7. Nishant Sindhu

At number 2, we have the GT team with their spinners rating at 8.904. Gujarat Titans have two solid spinners, Washington Sundar and the benchmark spinner, Rashid Khan. Both are solid options in the side, and they complement each other so well. In addition, GT have the likes of R Sai Kishore, Rahul Tewatia, Mahipal Lomror, Manan Suthar, etc., who are also good options among backups.

#1: Kolkata Knight Riders – 9.077

Two Best Spinners for KKR

  1. Varun Chakravarthy
  2. Sunil Narine

Backup Spinners

  1. Mayank Markande
  2. Moeen Ali
  3. Anukul Roy

Moving to the best of all, we have the KKR team with their spinners rating at 9.077. KKR’s spin contingent is literally unmatched with two outstanding spinners, Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine, and solid backups as well in the form of Mayank Markande, Moeen Ali, and Anukul Roy. All five have the potential to play in the playing 11, and given the variety of options, KKR will seldom struggle on spin wickets.

So, that’s about the ranking and rating for the best spinners for all 10 teams for IPL 2025.
