IPL 2025 All 10 Teams Combined Current Best Players Playing 11
Virat Kohli and Yashasvi Jaiswal among stars in our combined best playing 11 of the tournament for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
Superstar is a common word used in the Indian Premier League. Every year, we see superstar players from across the globe making their presence felt with some outstanding performances. Be it Indian players or Overseas players, there are superstar players across both categories, and the 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League will be no different with some of the biggest superstars gracing the game.
Every team in the IPL has at least 3-4 superstar players, who not only perform well in the IPL, but also have been doing quite well on the International stage. But wouldn’t it be interesting to select 11 such quality players, who have been doing extremely well in the IPL over the last few years? Usually, such playing 11 will have no challenge from other players in the competition. So, we will also look at the alternative best 11 that might give tough competition to the selected best 11.
Now, how do we go about selecting the combined best 11? Well, ideally, we will look at selecting benchmark openers, benchmark middle-order batters, benchmark finishers, benchmark all-rounders, and benchmark bowlers. A benchmark player is someone who has done extremely well in the Indian Premier League and on the International stage in the last 2 years. Alright then, let’s look at the combined best playing 11 with players from all 10 teams for IPL 2025.
Batting Lineup
Starting with the openers, we have the Indian duo of Virat Kohli and Yashasvi Jaiswal. While Virat and Jaiswal have been star batters in the Indian Premier League, they have also been in good form at the International level in the last few years. Overall, Kohli has scored around 1400 runs in the last two years, and Jaiswal isn’t far behind with roughly 1100 runs to his name. In addition, Jaiswal is also the preferred opener in two of the three formats for Team India.
Coming to middle-order, look no other than the World’s best T20 batter, Suryakumar Yadav, the most aggressive middle-order player Nicholas Pooran, and the world’s best finisher, Heinrich Klaasen. You can’t have a better middle-order trio than this one, which is not only belligerent but also quite consistent with their batting. Be it International cricket, or the Indian Premier League, all three have scored tons of runs in both forms of cricket.
For the all-rounder finishers, again look no other than Andre Russell and Hardik Pandya. There has not been any all-rounder that has contributed better in both departments than Andre Russell and Hardik Pandya. While Hardik has scored close to 1000 runs and has taken 22 wickets in the last 3 years, Russell has close to 900 runs and 43 wickets in the last three years. These are awesome stats that are difficult for any player to match.
Bowling Lineup
Coming to the bowling lineup, the team has Rashid Khan, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, and Varun Chakravathy as the primary bowlers in the side, and these four will have Andre Russell and Hardik Pandya as supporting bowlers. Overall, Jasprit Bumrah is the benchmark pacer and Rashid Khan is the benchmark spinner. Both have done amazingly well in the IPL in the last three years. While Bumrah has taken 56 wickets, Rashid Khan has taken 56 wickets in the last three years. This is a consistent performance from the World’s best bowlers.
While Bumrah and Rashid Khan have been good, Chakravarthy and Arshdeep Singh have literally been the second-best pacer and spinner in the World. Not only have these two performed well in the IPL, but they have also done well at the International stage. Overall, Arshdeep Singh has taken 46 wickets, and Varun Chakravarthy has taken 47 wickets in the last three years. Again, these two quality bowlers have been quite consistent in the IPL.
