IPL 2021 Auction: Final List of Short-listed 292 Players
10 players set to go under the hammer with the highest base price of INR 2 crores as we look at the final list of new players for IPL 2021 Auction.
The BCCI on February 11 announced the final list of short-listed players who are supposed to go under the hammer for the IPL 2021 Auction. A total of 292 players were short-listed from the initial list of 1114 players who had registered for the Auction. The final list was pruned after the eight franchises submitted their shortlist.
The players are kept under different base price brackets, which starts with 10 players under INR 2 crores, 12 players under INR 1.5 crores, 11 players under INR 1 crore, 15 players under INR 75 Lakhs, and so on. Out of a total of 48 players placed in the high price bracket, 4 are Indians, and rest are overseas players.
The major missing from the short-listed players is S Sreesanth, who had registered himself under the base price of INR 75L. It seems no franchise has shown interest in the Kerala born player, who was eager to make a comeback after serving a ban in the IPL.
