IPL 2020 – RCB v DC Match Preview:
The top of the table clash as Royal Challengers Bangalore take on Delhi Capitals in the 19th match of IPL 2020. Both the teams have won three so far, and lost just one. A win here would take them to the top of the table with eight points.
With all the drawbacks, RCB have performed better than what they ideally should have performed. Their slightly unstable lower-order which hasn’t been tested as yet. The death bowling hasn’t been up to the mark as they have leaked a lot of runs apart from Saini, who has been excellent in the death.
Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals have played like a team with immense contributions in all the departments. The team that played against KKR is supposedly their strongest team on paper with newcomers, Ravi Ashwin and Harshal Patel playing a crucial role with the ball, and both being a handy batsman.
IPL 2020 RCB vs DC Predicted XIs:
Apart from Chris Morris’ selection, there shouldn’t be much talking point in RCB’s team selection. If Morris has recovered, then he should play for Adam Zampa as Isuru Udana has bowled well, and has been a wicket-taker.
IPL 2020 RCB vs DC – Royal Challengers Bangalore Predicted 11:
Aaron Finch, Devdutt Padikkal, Virat Kohli (C), AB de Villiers (WK), Shivam Dube, Gurkeerat Singh, Isuru Udana, Chris Morris / Adam Zampa, Washington Sundar, Navdeep Saini, and Yuzvendra Chahal.
The new changes, Ravi Ashwin and Harshal Patel add a lot of balance to the squad, and certainly make the team stong. However, injury clouds loom over the availability of Amit Mishra and Prithvi Shaw. Mishra didn’t complete his 4 overs because of a finger injury, and Shaw didn’t take the field after being struck on the helmet. If they aren’t available, then Axat Patel and Ajinkya Rahane should come-in.
IPL 2020 RCB vs DC – Delhi Capitals Predicted 11:
Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw / Ajinkya Rahane, Shreyas Iyer (C), Rishabh Pant (WK), Shimron Hetmyer, Marcus Stoinis, Harshal Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Amit Mishra / Axar Patel, Kagiso Rabada, and Anrich Nortje.
Key Player Selections:
Batsmen: Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, and Aaron Finch
After three consecutive failures, Virat Kohli showed the world why he is regarded as the number 1 batsman in the World. As they ‘Form if Temporary, Class is permanent’. It was only a matter of time before VK got back to form. Now that is he in the form, It would be criminal to not select him.
Apart from the first match, Shikhar Dhawan has got starts in all the matches so far. But, he is yet to score a big one, unlike his partner, Shaw, who has scored two. Can we see a big one from Dhawan tomorrow? Well, it is definitely possible.
Aaron Finch has blown hot and cold in four matches so far with one fifty, two 20s, and a failure. However, he hasn’t looked out of the sorts, and that’s a big positive. With a failure in his last match, Aaron Finch would be looking to give competition to his partner, Paddikkal, who has looked immaculate.
Bowlers: Kagiso Rabada, Isuru Udana, Yuzvendra Chahal / Amit Mishra
51 runs were scored off Kagiso Rabada’s 4 overs in the last match. More interestingly, he took only 1 wicket, which is the first time in the last 10 IPL matches that he has taken less than 2 wickets in an innings. But, that shouldn’t bother Rabada much as it was a one-off match. He should be back to his best, and against RCB, he has done well in the past.
Isuru Udana has played two matches, and taken four wickets so far. He may have gone for over 10 runs an over in those 2 matches, but he has bowled difficult overs of powerplay and death. He should be a safe bet for you as he would give you important points through wickets.
We all know Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers struggle against wrist spinners. Amit Mishra is the only wrist spinner from Delhi Capitals, and has been bowling quite well. Even on the high-scoring pitch of Sharjah, Mishra gave just 14 runs from his two overs, and accounted for a wicket. However, injury concerns may keep Mishra out of the game. If not him then man-in-form, Yuzvendra Chahal should be a safe bet.
Captain & Vice-Captain Pick: Shikhar Dhawan and Kagiso Rabada
