IPL 2021: RCB vs RR Match 16 Predicted Key Players Playing 11
IPL 2021 RCB vs RR: Rajasthan Royals take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in match 16 as we look at the predicted playing 11 and top fantasy players picks.
It’s match 16 in IPL 2021, and we have two teams that have had contrasting start to their IPL 2021 campaign. While RCB are off to a flying start with 3 wins from 3 games, RR have lost 2, and barely pulled off a win; thanks to Chris Morris’s late surge.
Even if RCB have won the matches, they have a few areas to worry about. For starters, their openers haven’t fired in any of the matches as yet. The team is heavily dependant on the dynamic duo of Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers. The lower-order is fragile, and haven’t got much opportunity as yet. However, the biggest positive has been their bowling, which has been excellent.
RR, on the other hand, had their issues with the playing 11, which wasn’t the strongest, but the departure of key players like Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer have hurt them further. Other than injuries, the team has seen a lot of inconsistent performance from their key players including Sanju Samson.
While RCB would want to maintain their number 1 ranking in the points table, RR would want to see their players taking the responsibility to do well. On that note, let’s look at the predicted playing 11 and key players to watch out for in RCB vs RR match 16 of IPL 2021.
IPL 2021 RCB vs RR: Predicted Playing XI for Rajasthan Royals:
Manan Vohra as an opener hasn’t worked quite well for RR in the first three matches so far. The lad plays some really beautiful shots in every match, but throws away with an equally bad shot. It won’t be a surprise if Rajasthan Royals bring the steadiness of Yashasvi Jaiswal to complement the firepower of Buttler at the top.
Barring him, Rajasthan Royals can also think of bringing in Mahipal Lomror for misfiring Shivam Dube. While Dube the bowler is already underutilized, Dube the batsman hasn’t quite worked for them. Hence, Lomror for Dube makes for an intelligent change to get more stability in the middle-order.
IPL 2021 RCB vs RR: Predicted Playing 11 for Rajasthan Royals:
Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson (C&WK), Riyan Parag, David Miller, Mahipal Lomror, Chris Morris, Rahul Tewatia, Jaydev Unadkat, Chetan Sakariya, and Mustafizur Rahman
IPL 2021 RCB vs RR: Predicted Playing XI for Royal Challengers Bangalore:
Royal Challengers Bangalore played only three overseas in the team last time, and Kohli trusted Rajat Patidar more than the talented overseas player, Finn Allen. However, Patidar hasn’t made any impact with the bat yet, and hence bringing Allen for Patidar is only logical. Virat, who hasn’t got any good start with the bat can also think of playing at 3 with Allen at the top.
As RCB are now playing in Mumbai, Shahbaz Ahmad’s left-arm spin isn’t going to be useful. Hence, RCB should look to play either Mohammed Azharuddeen or Sachin Baby at 6 as Ahmad isn’t that good a batsman. With the pitch expected to assist the pacers more, it would be interesting to see how Kohli utilizes the Spin duo of Chahal and Sundar.
IPL 2021 RCB vs RR: Predicted Playing 11 for Royal Challengers Bangalore:
Virat Kohli (C), Devdutt Padikkal, Finn Allen (WK), Glenn Maxwell, AB de Villiers, Mohammed Azharuddeen Sachin Baby, Washington Sundar, Kyle Jamieson, Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj & Yuzvendra Chahal.
Top Fantasy Players to Pick for RCB vs RR:
The matches at Wankhede have generally been a high-scoring affair. Hence, it is only wise to play more batsmen in your fantasy squad. Among bowlers, refrain from adding spinners in your squad as the move may backfire. So, looking at the teams, form, and potential of players, here are the players that we should definitely play.
Batsmen: Sanju Samson, Virat Kohli, Devdutt Padikkal, and David Miller
All-rounders: Chris Morris
Bowlers: Mohammed Siraj, Harshal Patel, and Mustafizur Rahman
Captain and Vice-Captain Choice: Virat Kohli and David Miller
