Match 15 | RCB vs RR |

IPL 2020 – RCB v RR Match Preview:
The first double-header of the competition, and it is the Rajasthan Royals taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore in the scorching heat of Abu Dhabi at 2 pm local time. Both the teams have won two matches so far, and lost one. However, RR are coming off a fresh loss, and RCB are coming off a fresh super-over win.
The top-order reliant RCB have seen some good individual performances so far from their top 4, and because of which their lower-order hasn’t been much exposed. Spinners have played a good role in the XI, but Death bowling still remains an area of concern for RCB.
Rajasthan Royals failed to adapt in the conditions of Dubai after two stunning victories in Sharjah. They now face RCB in other unfamiliar conditions of Abu Dhabi. The lack of a reliable middle-order has hurt them, and they definitely need to relook at their XI to bring in an extra batsman in the top 6.
IPL 2020 RCB vs RR Predicted XIs:
There’s still no news on the availability of Chris Morris for the clash against RR. While the actual news shall come only just before the toss, if he is fit, he should replace one of Zampa or Udana with the latter most-likely to be benched. Rest of the team should remain the same with AB de Villiers keeping the wickets.
IPL 2020 RCB vs RR – Royal Challengers Bangalore Predicted 11:
Aaron Finch, Devdutt Padikkal, Virat Kohli (C), AB de Villiers (WK), Shivam Dube, Gurkeerat Singh, Chris Morris / Isuru Udana, Adam Zampa, Washington Sundar, Navdeep Saini, and Yuzvendra Chahal.
Rajasthan Royals need a change in the team by strengthening the batting department. Either of Yashasvi Jaiswal or David Miller should come in the squad for an extra bowler. Given the foreign restrictions, Yashasvi Jaiswal should most-likely play for Ankit Rajpoot. If not Jaiswal, Team management can also think of playing Manan Vohra as the opener.
IPL 2020 RR vs RR – Rajasthan Royals Predicted 11:
Jos Buttler (WK), Yashasvi Jaiswal / Manan Vohra, Steve Smith (C), Sanju Samson, Robin Uthappa, Riyan Parag, Tom Curran, Rahul Tewatia, Jofra Archer, Shreyas Gopal, and Jaydev Unadkat.
Key Player Selections:
Batsmen: Virat Kohli, Jos Buttler, and Steve Smith
Three matches, and three failures for the champion Virat Kohli, and this might be the first time in the last 6-7 years that be has gone without getting a good score under his belt. Given the fighter Kohli is, he would be itching to get back to form. If he still fails tomorrow, then Kohli is going through a phase which no one can judge at the moment.
Buttler looked in good touch against KKR having got a good start. His scoop to Cummins for a six was the shot of the match. But, like other RR batsmen, Buttler failed to adapt, and his aggression got hold of him, and he fell to a poor shot off the bowling of Mavi. If he works on his mistake, which he should, there’s no stopping to Buttler.
The way Smith was batting against KKR, it seemed as if he was in no mood to stay on the ground, and wanted to get out as soon as possible. Nevertheless, he has got two fifties so far in the Tournament, and if he sticks to his strength, he can give you those valuable points.
All-rounders: Tom Curran
The way Tom Curran played in the last match against KKR, it should have certainly imposed some confidence in RR’s team management. He can give you those good overs in the death, and can score quick runs at the back end. If RR persist with the same XI, Tom would once again be crucial in the batting department.
Bowlers: Jofra Archer, Navdeep Saini, and Yuzvendra Chahal
After a below-par performance in batting-friendly conditions of Sharjah, Jofra Archer was simply unplayable in Dubai. He adjusted his lengths quickly, and the pitch gave him a lot of assistance. Abu Dhabi would be even better for him. So, expect Jofra to do well.
Navdeep Saini is the team’s leading pacer at the moment, and he is leading the pack as he should. Unlike the first two matches, Virat used him well in the third match. If VK persists with him at the death, then the returns are expected to be good.
Chahal took some hammering in the last match against MI. However, that was in the batting-friendly conditions of Dubai. Abu Dhabi assists spin, and given all of RR’s batsmen are right-handers, expect Chahal to be RCB’s trump card.
Captain & Vice-Captain Pick: Virat Kohli and Jos Buttler
