IPL 2025 All 10 Teams Updated Best Playing 11
IPL 2025 Best Playing 11 for Delhi Capitals (DC)
- KL Rahul
- Jake Fraser-McGurk
- Faf du Plessis
- Abhishek Porel (wk)
- Axar Patel (c)
- Tristan Stubbs
- Ashutosh Sharma
- Mitchell Starc
- Kuldeep Yadav
- Mukesh Kumar
- T. Natarajan
Best Impact Player: Sameer Rizvi / Mohit Sharma
Starting with Delhi Capitals, the team lost Harry Brook as the player decided to back-out from the tournament with a focus on national duty. Harry Brook may now face a 2-year ban in lieu of BCCI’s latest rules. With Harry Brook not there, we should now see Faf du Plessis starting as the first-choice option. Faf should mostly play at 3, Porel at 4, and Axar Patel as a floater at 5. The team may shuffle between Sameer Rizvi and Mohit Sharma depending on the match situation for the impact player spot.
IPL 2025 Best Playing 11 for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG)
- Aiden Markram
- Mitchell Marsh
- Rishabh Pant (c&wk)
- Nicholas Pooran
- Ayush Badoni
- David Miller
- Abdul Samad
- Shahbaz Ahmed
- Ravi Bishnoi
- Mohsin Khan
- Avesh Khan
Best Impact Player: Mayank Yadav
The LSG team will see Rishabh Pant as their Captain for IPL 2025. There are injury concerns over Mitchell Marsh, but it seems he will be available for the tournament, but may not bowl. There are also injury clouds over Mayank Yadav, and it seems the pacer will miss the first half of the tournament. In the absence of Mayank, the team may opt for Akash Deep as the third pacer. Without Mayank, the pace bowling will depend on Avesh Khan and Mohsin Khan.
IPL 2025 Best Playing 11 for Punjab Kings (PBKS)
- Josh Inglis
- Prabsimran Singh (wk)
- Shreyas Iyer (c)
- Shashank Singh
- Glenn Maxwell
- Nehal Wadhera
- Marcus Stoinis
- Marco Jansen
- Harpreet Brar
- Arshdeep Singh
- Yuzvendra Chahal
Best Impact Player: Kuldeep Sen
Punjab Kings is one team that will face the problem of plenty in the Overseas department. There are as many as 6 solid overseas players in their side, and their selection will mostly depend on the gaps PBKS are trying to fill. If we observe the squad, the team needs more Overseas batters, hence, the likes of Maxwell, Stoinis, and Inglis should be preferred. For the opener slot, PBKS may opt for Inglis or Stoinis, with the former having a better possibility. For the impact player, PBKS may opt for one from Kuldeep Sen, Vyshak Vijaykumar, or Yash Thakur.
IPL 2025 Best Playing 11 for Mumbai Indians (MI)
- Ryan Rickenton
- Rohit Sharma
- Suryakumar Yadav
- Tilak Varma
- Will Jacks
- Hardik Pandya (c)
- Naman Dhir
- Mitchell Santner
- Deepak Chahar
- Jasprit Bumrah
- Trent Boult
Best Impact Player: Karn Sharma
The Mumbai Indians team lost their key spinner Allah Ghazanfar ahead of the tournament. With Ghazanfar not there, the probability of Mitchell Santner playing goes higher. The MI team can now also afford to pay both, Ryan Rickelton and Will Jacks. However, if the team decides to include both these Overseas batters, they may have to opt for the spin-bowling of Karn Sharma, or an extra pacer in the form of Arjun Tendulkar or Raj Bawa.
IPL 2025 Best Playing 11 for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)
- Quinton de Kock (wk)
- Sunil Narine
- Ajinkya Rahane (c)
- Venkatesh Iyer
- Rinku Singh
- Andre Russell
- Ramandeep Singh
- Anukul Roy
- Harshit Rana
- Anrich Nortje
- Varun Chakravarthy
Best Impact Player: Vaibhav Arora
The KKR team made Ajinkya Rahane their new Captain for IPL 2025. With Ajinkya now confirmed to play all the matches, the team may leave out Angkrish Rahvuvanshi for the initial matches. The team is currently facing an injury concern over Anrich Nortje. In case Anrich Nortje isn’t fully fit, KRK may opt for Spencer Johnson as their pacer alongside Harshit Rana and Vaibhav Arora.
IPL 2025 Best Playing 11 for Gujarat Titans (GT)
- Shubman Gill (c)
- Jos Buttler (wk)
- Sai Sudharsan
- Shahrukh Khan
- Glenn Phillips
- Rahul Tewatia
- Mahipal Lomror
- Washington Sundar
- Rashid Khan
- Kagiso Rabada
- Mohammed Siraj
Best Impact Player: Prasidh Krishna
Gujarat Titans is one of the only few teams to not have an injury concern mounting on them. However, they may face a big dilemma to decide who between Sherfane Rutherford and Glenn Phillips make it to their first-choice playing 11. Rutherford is a solid finisher, and has done well recently. Whereas Phillips is coming fresh from the Champions Trophy after impressing with the bat. Ideally, Rutherford should get an opportunity first, but Phillips isn’t a bad option either, and with recency bias, Phillips could be selected.
IPL 2025 Best Playing 11 for Rajasthan Royals (RR)
- Sanju Samson (c&wk)
- Yashasvi Jaiswal
- Nitish Rana
- Riyan Parag
- Dhruv Jurel
- Shimron Hetmyer
- Shubham Dubey
- Wanindu Hasaranga
- Jofra Archer
- Tushar Deshpande
- Maheesh Theekshana
Best Impact Player: Sandeep Sharma
Rajasthan Royals are riding a similar boat as few other teams with no injury concerns mounting on them. There were concerns over Sanju Samson’s availability after the wicket-keeper batter had sustained an injury in the last tournament. But it seems Samson may recover in time to play all the matches. With most spots sealed, the only debate in their playing 11 will be if RR play two spinners, or opt for Fazalhaq Farooqui in place of Theekshana.
IPL 2025 Best Playing 11 for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)
- Phil Salt
- Virat Kohli
- Rajat Patidar (c)
- Liam Livingstone
- Tim David
- Jitesh Sharma (wk)
- Krunal Pandya
- Rasikh Dar
- Bhuvneshwar Kumar
- Josh Hazlewood
- Yash Dayal
Best Impact Player: Suyash Sharma
The RCB team will see Rajat Patidar as their new leader for IPL 2025. The team is currently facing an injury concern over Josh Hazlewood. In the absence of Hazlewood, RCB may opt for Romario Shephard, Lungi Ngidi, or Nuwan Thushara. However, aside from injuries, RCB’s main concern is the form of their Overseas players, Phil Salt, Liam Livingstone, and Tim David. It will be interesting to see how these players perform as that will mostly decide the fate of RCB as a team.
IPL 2025 Best Playing 11 for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)
- Travis Head
- Abhishek Sharma
- Ishan Kishan (wk)
- Nitish Reddy
- Heinrich Klaasen
- Kamindu Mendis
- Abhinav Manohar
- Pat Cummins (c)
- Harshal Patel
- Rahul Chahar
- Mohammed Shami
Best Impact Player: Atharva Taide
Sunrisers Hyderabad team will be led by their charismatic Captain, Pat Cummins, but Cummins is already under injury scanner. Fortunately, Cummins should be able to recover in time. In case he doesn’t SRH may opt for the pace of Wiaan Mulder or spin of Adam Zampa in his absence. The other dilemma that SRH may face is to finalize an Overseas finisher. SRH have two options in the form of Kamindu Mendis and Wiaan Mulder, but Mendis’ batting ability makes him the front-runner for this spot.
IPL 2025 Best Playing 11 for Chennai Super Kings (CSK)
- Ruturaj Gaikwad (c)
- Rachin Ravindra
- Rahul Tripathi
- Shivam Dube
- Deepak Hooda
- Ravindra Jadeja
- MS Dhoni (wk)
- Sam Curran
- Ravichandran Ashwin
- Matheesha Pathirana
- Noor Ahmad
Best Impact Player: Khaleel Ahmed
Finally, last but not least, we have the CSK team, and they have two major headaches in front of them. The most important decision that they will have to take is to decide between Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra for the opening slot. While Conway is a long-timer for them, Rachin did well in his absence in 2024, and is currently also in stunning form. With Rachin also giving a few good overs in the middle, CSK may opt for him above Conway. Also, CSK may switch between Noor Ahmad and Nathan Ellis depending on the pitch they play on.
