The presence of two left-handers in the middle overs will be a blessing for Team India, and Suryakumar Yadav can unleash his original self at the number 3 position. 

All-rounders

Coming to all-rounders, India might stick to playing with the batting depth as they did in the 2024 T20 World Cup 2024. While the T20 World Cup 2024 had Ravindra Jadeja as the third all-rounder, The Sri Lanka series may see Washington Sundar donning that role. So, expect Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, and Washington Sundar to be the three all-round finishers in playing 11. 

Bowlers

Finally, talking about the bowling, India will be without Jasprit Bumrah, their best bowler in the format. With Bumrah not there, Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Siraj should lead the pace bowling duties for Team India. Also, with Kuldeep Yadav left out, Ravi Bishnoi should lead the spin bowling duties for Team India. Other than these three, Hardik, Axar, and Sundar will play a key role in the bowling department for Team India.
