Having lost 4 tosses in a row, and being asked to bat first on all the ocassions, the leadership of Rahul Dravid and Rishabh Pant inspired some brilliant comebacks in the last two matches and helped level the series 2-2 after trailing 0-2 in the first 2 matches. With the final match to go, India would want to end on a high note, and register their first series victory under Rishabh Pant.

Honestly, I don’t remember the last time India did not change their team in the first 4 matches of a series. But this team under the leadership of Rahul Dravid seems to trust the process more than the result. Hence, they are giving enough opportunities to the players even if they aren’t living up to the expectations.
With just one final match to go, expect Team India to stick to the same playing 11. While Ruturaj Gaikwad hasn’t had the best of 4 matches so far. His fifty in the third T20I suggested that if he can give time to himself, he can come out stronger. Similarly, Axar didn’t do well in the first two T20Is, but made a superb comeback in the next two T20Is.
From the performance standpoint, one player that needs to make a mark at the International T20 arena, is Rishabh Pant. Having played 47 T20Is so far, Rishabh Pant hasn’t set the format on fire with only 740 runs to his name. He may have played a few good knocks, but given the talent he is, we expect better from Rishabh Pant, the batter.

From South Africa’s team standpoint, Temba Bavuma got injured while batting in the fourth T20I. He took a nasty bouncer from Bhuvneshwar, which hit his shoulder and then the helmet. Unfortunately, he took off the field after this incident, and didn’t come to bat later.
With the next match scheduled just a day later, his participation remains doubtful. In case Temba doesn’t make it, Reeza Hendricks should replace him. However, who will captain the side in Bavuma’s absence remains to be seen. Meanwhile, in the bowling and all-rounder department, South Africa could look to continue playing the same players.
