Gujarat Titans have already suffered three big blows to their squad ahead of IPL 2024. While they lost their Captain Hardik Pandya to MI, the team also lost Mohammed Shami and Robin Minz due to injuries. With these three players not there, the playing 11 for Shubman Gill-led Gujarat Titans becomes very interesting.

One thing that remains unchanged for Gujarat Titans is their top-order. The team will be playing the same top-order that played in 2023 with Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha as openers, and Sai Sudharsan at number 3 position. For Mumbai Indians, the biggest question shall be who fills the shoes of Suryakumar Yadav, who currently is working on his fitness at the NCA. In the absence of SKY, the team will mostly opt for Vishnu Vinod instead of an overseas batter. An overseas batter like Dewald Brevis can certainly help, but that would mean MI weaken their bowling. In case they opt for Brevis, the team can play Akash Madhwal in place of one of the Overseas pacers.  

Aside from this big change, other things remain the same for MI. The team will see Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan as the openers with Tilak Varma at the number 3 position. Hardik Pandya should play the number 4 spot. Whereas Nehal Wadhera, Tim David, Vishnu Vinod, and Mohammad Nabi should take care of the finishing duties for MI. 

Finally, for the bowling, MI will have Jasprit Bumrah as the leading pacer and Piyush Chawla as the leading spinner.
